Job Specifics
Our first task was to send one of our Asia-based assessors to site to conduct mechanical assessment of an assortment of crawler dozers, graders and dump trucks. Comprehensive mechanical condition reports including appropriate photographs and technical data were delivered within 24 hours to our customer prior to the auction.
Most of these machines were purchased and Freightplus was engaged to deliver them safely and cost effectively to Australia. Freightplus representatives were dispatched from Yokohama and Brisbane, including a Thai national. Together with the Australian buyer, Freightplus personnel coordinated local labour, arranged ground transport, water supply and cleaning equipment and achieved Australian entry standard on all machines prior to shipment. As with all pre-shipment AQIS compliance inspections, Freightplus guaranteed the consignment against re-export. Low loader transport was arranged to Laem Chebang port. Customs export formalities were completed, marine insurance was arranged and our heavy equipment was loaded on board a perfectly suited Austral-Asia Line break bulk vessel for shipment to Brisbane.
Prior to arrival at Brisbane, Freightplus facilitated pre-arrival Customs clearance and booked AQIS inspections. Cargo underwent mandatory final washing and AQIS release and was delivered to our client’s yard.
Outcome
Consignment was delivered in full, on time, and as quoted.
